“Les Enclos Secrets” is historically a typical Lotois farmhouse, nestled in the Causses du Quercy Regional National Park and made up of three buildings (the dwelling house, the barn and a small outbuilding with the dual use of soue and henhouse) nestled in a setting of enclosures hemmed with dry stone walls. The presence on the property of four cisterns, one of which was in the open, which provided water for men and animals, demonstrates the value accorded to water by our elders.
It is the barn on two levels on one level thanks to its characteristic regional architecture that has housed the three guest rooms since its spectacular and recent transformation into a warm and refined dwelling.
The very contemporary decor combines noble materials allowing the places to retain their charm. The unchanged exterior walls and the identical renovation of the soue retain its original appearance to the property complex. Significant landscaping completes these concessions to well-being.
Gabrielle CHANEL, Marie LAURENCIN and Nina RICCI, these three great ladies born in 1883, the year the house was built, inspired the names of the rooms and a tribute is paid to them in each.
The three bedrooms have their own bathroom and WC with walk-in shower, electric towel dryer serving as a psyche mirror, a desk area, cupboards and quality 160 bedding. Bathrobes, hair dryer and a WFI connection are also available there. The suppliers were selected for their recognized know-how and their proximity to the extent possible (Region, France, Europe).
NB: In summer, the heat pump allows the entire house to be cooled from the ground, a system that consumes less energy than an air conditioner.
Staying at the Secret Enclosures is both:
Enjoy a harmonious, warm and contemporary atmosphere married to natural and timeless materials such as stone, wood and iron, in a place representative of the rural heritage of Lot, hitherto dormant.
Being immersed in the flora and fauna of an endemic nature conducive to rejuvenation, contemplation and rest.
Benefit from the proximity of many remarkable sites allowing diversified daily escapades: mystical in front of the Marian city of Rocamadour, pensive in front of the parietal paintings of the cave of Pech Merle, blissful in front of the beauty of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, admiring the Champollion museum of Figeac, etc ...
Unless the tranquility of the site suggests a day of reading in the shade of the woods facing the bowling alley, which you reserve for yourself later and accompanied by the mischievous game of squirrels and birdsong.
Whatever your affinities, welcome to "Les Enclos Secrets".
