We are please to welcome you to this old farm house located in Saint-Pierre-La-Noue near Surgeres in France (17), which is between La Rochelle and Rochefort.

Originally belonging to Andrew’s Aunt, we bought the house 13 years ago.We started to be renovate in 2019, the house is now comfortable and can offer three bedrooms en-suite : “Geais“, “Hoopoes“, and “Swallows“; each one of them having a different style.

The house was named after Aunty Jeans favorite bird: the “Geais”, we have decided to keep the name in her honor.

In 2021, we opened as a Bed & Breakfast and also  welcoming guests for Home Teaching. To do so, we want you as guests to Les Geais to be part of our journey !

Throughout your stay, our home becomes your home; your bedroom and the lounge are for your comfort, along with the pool and the relaxation area. All in the charming and peaceful French countryside.

Whilst staying at Les Geais, you will be able to explore many tourist destinations within the Charente Maritime.

Andrew trained withing the Savoy Hotel Group in London and Paris, so you will be sure of the bet service and stay !

So don’t hesitate to come and see us, and enjoy your stay in our home.

Come and see us whatever your age and whatever your interests.

Andrew & John
Hi ! We are Andrew Wright and John Upson (soon to be Husband) along with Louis our dog.

Our Main Home is now in France where we live and we commute to the UK for Business as and when necessary.

Conveniently I (Andrew) am on the left of both pictures & John on the right so you know who we are. The top left is with Aunty Jean the previous owner of Les Geais.

I has taught at Le Havre IUT since 2013, students following a Professional English Course. And I have always been interested in teaching and training throughout my career in many different formats.

Beach lovers, we like to swim and get to the beach as much as we can during the Summer months. We both love music, theatre and food, entertaining at home, cooking and of course walking Louis !

We live life to the full, we love to laugh and have fun !

We have decided to set ourselves a challenge by opening this Chambre d’hôtes as we both find delight in welcoming guests into our home and meeting people. So we look forward to welcoming you to Les Geais soon !

Andrew, John and Louis can’t wait to meet you !
