Since 2009 nudism has been forbidden in Cannes. Nevertheless, Batterie Beach is still reserved for nudists. It is therefore the only beach in Cannes where we can practice nudism.
Batterie consists of three distinct beaches. The first is at the exit of the tunnel and is the biggest (it may seem small since it is a narrow 20 meters wide). It is made up of sand and stones and offers a bay with a view of the Bay of Juan les Pins. This beach is not the calmest of the three. Continuing to the left (stairs) and following the dirt path, we arrive just in front of a private property in two little creeks with fine sand. These creeks are very narrow and charming. Only the third has stairs. We visited these beaches in the winter (December). We notices there were many travelers. At first sight, as soon as the sun comes out people flock to the beaches. Avoid coming after nightfall.
These beaches are located on the highway between Gulf Juan and Cannes (Avenue Marechal Juin). On the long straight road, just after a Total station on the right, we find an access (careful, we found a parking lot but it was no longer accessible - you have to park along the road which is difficult). Next to a blue gate there are stairs that go down to a tunnel that passes under the road. On the right side of the tunnel are stairs that lead to the first beach.
