Just 20 minutes by car are the sandy beaches of Alassio, one of Italy's most mundane seaside resorts. The Lerrone Valley offers all kinds of outdoor activities, from hiking and mountain biking to laid-back picknick hours. For the more leisurely tourist the Ligurian coast shows itself as a true treasure box: cozy little seaside towns, steep mountain passes that lead to old, medieval villages and the famous Via Aurelia that brings you straight to the chic Corniche of France's Cote d 'Azur, where you can explore along the road famous places like Menton, Monte Carlo and Nice.
After a day full of activities VILLA BARCA awaits its guests with the unique atmosphere that this B&B has to offer. The Villa sits on 15.000 square meters of Mediterranean garden and olive growth. On clear days we can see across the Mediterranean sea and look as far as La Spezia and Cinque Terre on the other side of the Golf of Genua.
In the morning breakfast is served on our grand terrace or as a basket breakfast to be enjoyed in the privacy of your own patio.
A unique part of Villa Barca is the old church that sits adjacent to the main building. Erected in the 1700s and modernized by the original owner of the Villa it is now hosting our "room of stillness". A quiet place to meditate, practice Yoga or just enjoy the luxury of tranquility. LA TERRAZZA
High above the valley our roof terrace provides such an amazing vantage point we named this magnificent suite La Terrazza. On clear days guests of La Terrazza enjoy spectacular views towards the Mediterranean Sea and sometimes even beyond to the coastline of Cinque Terre. Here you can rest undisturbed in the sun, just be lazy, enjoy a good book, or, have a little bite at the picnic table. A sunsail protects the guests from the heat of the noon hours and even on cool days, you can enjoy the breathtaking vista from behind the panoramic windows of the spacious living room. An open fireplace provides a cozy nook in contrast to the wide open views. The bedroom of the suite is located on the garden side of the house and is shaded by the ancient stone oaks insuring more tranquility and a good night sleep. La Terrazza is our largest and most elegant suite and a perfect fit for travelers who would like to splurge a bit.

LA CAMPAGNA
Olive trees, rosemary and oleander bushes surround as the Ligurian countryside spreads out in front of the suite La Campagna. Because our own olive growths and orchards are your neighbors, you can leave directly from your room for nice morning walks or long hikes. Afterwards, you can relax on the terrace enjoying the countryside or retreat into the shaded comfort of your suite. From the living room, you have beautiful views over the valley. The bedroom is located in the back part of the house right next to the typical Italian courtyard. La Campagna is part of the oldest wing of Villa Barca and the rustic, ancient beams in the living room give testimony to the antique history of this place.
