Come and enjoy the comfort and intimacy of our rooms, relax in total privacy around our clothing-optional swimming pool, savor our natural home-made breakfast, get to know new friends sitting by the pool deck or by our small lake while enjoying a glass of wine or during a convivial dinner, discover Alentejo and Algarve, these incredibly fascinating regions in southern Portugal that have so much to offer....

Our rooms are individually decorated and designed to offer you comfort and privacy. All the rooms are ensuite and feature a private terrace.

We will make sure that you will never forget your days spent at LUA NUA.

When we first set foot in this quinta (that is Portuguese for country estate), we were immediately carried away into another world, a place where we could feel the energy of the wild nature surrounding us and the serenity of being in a secluded yet vibrant environment. We knew this would be the perfect place to disconnect from our hectic routine and reconnect with ourselves, the people around us and nature. And this is exactly the experience that we want to offer you, an experience created by gay men for gay men.

« Christophe and Franck have created a small oasis in southern Portugal for men to relax, de-stress and enjoy the company of other like-minded men. Located about 2.5 hours south of Lisbon, Lua Nua is a small, boutique guesthouse that caters specifically to gay men. As a solo traveler, Christophe and Franck welcomed me warmly to Lua Nua and made me feel right at home. Each of the rooms are tastefully decorated and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast each morning was a treat: an ever-changing array of fresh fruits, cheeses, meats, granola and yogurt, artfully prepared by the hosts. Christophe provided recommendations and directions for local beaches and restaurants and offered to make reservations for dinner at some of the more popular ones. Not to be missed is Naperon, a Michelin recommended restaurant. Late afternoons were spent enjoying a glass of local wine at Lua Nua's clothing optional pool and catching up with the other guests. Would highly recommend Lua Nua for singles or couples looking to getaway from the hectic city life and enjoy a relaxing vacation. »

« Lua Nua est un vrai petit coin de paradis. On s'y sent tout de suite chez soi, tellement le lieu est accueillant. Le cadre est vraiment magnifique et les hôtes sont aux petits soins. Christophe et Franck sont de très bon conseil pour les restaurants et pour les plages à visiter dans les environs. Sans hésiter, notre meilleur lieu de séjour au Portugal. »

« Cette maison d’hôtes est absolument magnifique ! Isolée dans la campagne de la belle région de l’Alentejo, c’est l’endroit idéal pour profiter du calme ou partir à la découverte de certaines des plus belles plages du Portugal. La décoration de la maison est très soignée (aussi bien dans les chambres que dans les parties communes) et en parfaite harmonie avec l’environnement qui l’entoure. La piscine, grande et chaude, est l’endroit idéal pour finir la journée en admirant le très beau jardin arboré. Enfin, les trois hôtes sont très sympathiques et savent mettre à l’aise. Ils sont aux petits soins et toujours de bons conseillers sur les sites à voir aux alentours ou sur les restaurants à privilégier. Nous ne manquerons pas de retourner dans cette maison d’hôtes lors d’un prochain séjour au Portugal ! »

« L'une des meilleures guesthouses qu'on ait visitées depuis des années. D'abord l'accueil et la présence des trois hôtes, Christophe, Franck et Marco, juste parfaits. Les lieux : au milieu de la nature, après une route en terre parfois cahoteuse, une jolie maison bien distribuées, une salle commune chaleureuse, boissons à disposition, "honesty bar" et surtout un petit déjeuner exceptionnel "fait maison". Superbe piscine, non chlorée, clothing optional. Une très belle découverte ! »

« Fantastic place set in a beautifully landscaped garden, we absolutely loved it. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful with advice on where to go and what to do. The room we stayed in was spacious and very stylish, the breakfast was great and what to say about the pool... Just amazing!!! We enjoyed very much the dinner with the other guests, the food was delicious and the company very charming ;) And last but not least, the naturist beaches around are stunning. We'll definitely come back next year! »
